It has 3 shades and I would wear all 3 of them! All of them are quite orange toned and I like this as I tend to steer towards coral/peachy blushes anyway. They're all very pigmented so you have to be careful when applying because a little goes a long way. I like how there are the two matte shades (Crochet & Chantilly) and the one shade with a lovely gold shimmer (Guipure). Usually I tend to go for matte shades but I actually think my favourite shade is Guipure, it gives such a lovely glow and looks <i>amazing </i>with a tan! I really can't wait to wear these in summer because they're all such fun bright summery shades :) </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For £9.99 I think they're quite the bargain! For 3 intensely pigmented blushes with a decent amount of product in each I think these are a great buy. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">They had other shades of these too in: Pumpkin, Flame, Pink Spirit and Sugar. I personally think this was the most wearable palette out of the 5 though.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">x</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>IVORYFAITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05354669919117761712noreply@blogger.com22tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6507016507975836097.post-51601641576177879242012-03-11T19:29:00.006+00:002012-03-12T09:02:54.632+00:00search for the perfect foundation #2<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation - £37 (shade 40 - beige)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6827370664/" title="foundationchan by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7051/6827370664_76e6aae414_z.jpg" width="640" height="427" alt="foundationchan" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6827393726/" title="chanelboi by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7067/6827393726_fdb6bc73ed_z.jpg" width="640" height="427" alt="chanelboi" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6827381524/" title="foundy by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7038/6827381524_7b97132bf6_z.jpg" width="640" height="427" alt="foundy" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Coverage: 4.5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;">Application: 5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;">Long Lasting: 5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;">Shade: 5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">As you can probably tell, I'm absolutely in LOVE with this foundation. It has literally everything I would look for in a foundation and more. I applied this with my real techniques buffing brush but found it goes on just as easily with my fingers too. It blended in so effortlessly and when it's actually on the skin it feels so silky to touch which I've never experienced from a foundation before. I would say the coverage is medium but is definitely build-able and doesn't look at all cakey on. It has a semi-matte finish, which I like and I find that I don't need to powder this and it still lasts all day (Which on my oily t-zone is amazing!). It has quite a strong fruity smell to it so if you have problems with sensitive skin or perfumes in cosmetics this one may not be for you, but I personally love it. Also the fact that it has SPF10 in is a nice extra and even with flash it photographs nicely. I think the only down side of this 'perfect' foundation is the not-so-perfect price tag of £37.. ouch! However this is genuinely the best foundation I've <i>ever</i> tried so I would definitely repurchase. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">next up i'll be trying MAC pro-longwear :)...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">x</div>IVORYFAITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05354669919117761712noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6507016507975836097.post-45748390287839752592012-03-04T20:10:00.009+00:002012-03-12T09:02:22.984+00:00search for the perfect foundation #1<div style="text-align: center;">Okay, so I know it's pretty much impossible to find the 'perfect' anything! But this is going to be be a series of posts to test out and try and find a foundation that's as close to perfection (for me) as possible. I've been testing out a few different foundations recently and I've collected a few samples from some counters to test out.</div><div style="text-align: center;">What I look for in a foundation is a medium-heavy coverage, without looking cakey obviously, a semi matte finish and I have combination skin and I find anything that claims to be 'dewy' tends to make me look shiny a few hours in to wearing it and finally I like a yellow toned shade as I'm naturally quite pink so I like to counteract that! And also as I usually wear fake tan it tends to blend in better. Also if anyone is wondering about what shades I use (if you're similar to me) I'm NC25/NC30 in MAC foundations for reference :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Estee Lauder Invisible Foundation - £27.00</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6953308947/" title="foundation11 by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7186/6953308947_039f55381e_z.jpg" width="640" height="417" alt="foundation11" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">with no flash</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6953309005/" title="foundation2 by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7210/6953309005_f8fa7067cd_z.jpg" width="640" height="427" alt="foundation2" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">with flash</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Coverage: 3.5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;">Application: 5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;">Long lasting: 4.5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;">Shade: 3.5/5</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">When I first applied this I was quite impressed, I used my fingers to apply it and found that it blended in really easily. It was quite sheer at first, maybe a bit too sheer than I would usually like so I applied a second layer and found this did the trick. It also felt nice a light on the skin which I liked. In terms of staying power it lasted pretty much all day which I was actually really surprised at, so very impressed at that! One of the only things I wasn't too impressed at was that it was slightly pink toned, and I tend to go for more yellow toned foundations but maybe I just need a different shade! The fact that it doesn't have spf in it puts me off a bit though but it does mean that it photographs quite true to colour in flash photography though. Overall I was impressed with this but there were a few things that may stop me paying the £27 for it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Next review will be the Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation so look out for that soon... </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>IVORYFAITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05354669919117761712noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6507016507975836097.post-83654629328112767992012-02-24T16:25:00.002+00:002012-02-24T16:34:17.585+00:00Kim Kardashian<div style="text-align: center;">I have to admit... I love doing other people's brows and seeing the transformation and how it completely just changes someones look. So I thought I'd show you the transformation in my eyebrows over the years...</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6912021581/" title="eyebrows2 by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7038/6912021581_df7793ab03_z.jpg" width="640" height="494" alt="eyebrows2" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">So the first picture is what my eyebrows are like naturally (please excuse the scary huge pupils! I had taken some eye drops for an eye infection.. anyway this is the only picture I could find of my brows naturally) and as you can see they're basically invisible! They were like this up until I was about 16 because I didn't really know what to do with them and was too scared to fill them in because it really made me look so different. Thankfully though I finally did something about them and started ti fill them in.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The second picture is my eyebrows without any product on and not filled in. As you can see I have them tinted now and to keep the shape I wax them, usually I do it myself or sometimes one of the other girls I work with does it. I personally much prefer waxing to threading as I think it hurts less and gives just as nice a shape. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The last picture is of my brows filled in with Benefit's browzings powder and wax duo in 'light'.I really like this product because I think it looks quite natural and it's quite easy to control how much of the powder and wax you apply. Also I just use a slanted eyebrow brush to apply it. I mainly use it at the front of my brows because this is where the hair is quite sparse and I like to have quite a square shape to them. Some people may think that my eyebrows are to dark, or thick, or bold but this is how I personally like them :) </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6912161527/" title="browzings by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7048/6912161527_764e378279.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="browzings" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">But as you can see a bit of eyebrow grooming makes SUCH a different and I'm really quite happy with how my brows are at the moment and I would really recommend browzings for filling them in.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">x</div>IVORYFAITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05354669919117761712noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6507016507975836097.post-46885922693145736002012-01-25T22:51:00.004+00:002012-03-12T09:01:12.481+00:00Hervana<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">Working for Benefit certainly has its... ermm Benfefits (sorry for thre pun!). Especially working in the boutiques, where we usually get to release new products before the concessions. It means as soon as we get new stock in such as testers we get to have a bit of a play around. Even though this product has already been released in the US and by the time I post this it will have probably been released in the UK too, I wanted to talk about the newest box powder from Benefit - Hervana.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6911384977/" title="hervana box by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7059/6911384977_8476af5200_z.jpg" width="640" height="427" alt="hervana box" /></a></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">To be completely honest when I first saw preview images of this new blush I was veryyyyy skeptical as the colour range seemed very purple, not really my thing! Reading reviews on the US site didn't help either as almost everyone was comparing it to Dandelion and the newly discontinued (thank god!) Throb. Basically I though it was going to be another very pale, pastel (not in a good way, more like in a poorly pigmented way) blush that would only suit pale skin types, like the previously mentioned. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49094077@N08/6911422039/" title="mehervana by .faithh, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7176/6911422039_d3d66713fc_z.jpg" width="640" height="427" alt="mehervana" /></a></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">I was happily surprised when I finally got my hands on this little beaut though! Everything I thought that it would be, it in fact wasn't. Hervana is a lovely, almost matte, berry shade blush with a surprising amount of pigment that suits basically any skin tone. In terms of the packaging I can't really fault it either, I really quite like the purple toned heaven theme, plus the new packaging comes with a little mirror and a better quality brush! Sounds perfect right? Well actually, yeah it pretty much is in my opinion! Maybe it's because it's my new shiny toy that I don't want to stop playing with but I genuinely can't stop myself from reaching for Hervana in the morning to complete my look.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">x</span></div>IVORYFAITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05354669919117761712noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6507016507975836097.post-62322343962925840772011-07-14T21:08:00.001+01:002012-02-20T22:50:29.136+00:00Most Worn Lipsticks<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Sooo I was wondering what beauty product would take</div><div style="text-align: center;">the honour of being my first official blog post and there's nothing I love more than a bit of lippy, so it was inevitable that I would</div><div style="text-align: center;">have to show some love for my faves! I wanted to show a mixture of colours, as usually on a day to day basis I'm likely to be wearing a nude shade and it wouldn't be much fun to look at four identical pictures to look at now, would it? Sooo I've picked my fave pink, nude, red and coral(ish) :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXQRw8snfk9MzM_FB1zGRzZJtbNEaRmQkzV1_ubZiaRyj2woZKQjHGyfrn6d2TToLPfyqISB5kglLF65QSMpqkl15yhNOfOY2D-_yZHO8N7u_Yv0kSrJ6koQJ91d2AM3S09te4NOLYoy8/s500/lippies.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5634447980874258626" /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Top L-R: MAC Viva Glam Gaga, GOSH Darling</div><div style="text-align: center;">Bottom L-R: Nars Heat Wave, Barry M #147</div><div style="text-align: center;">(Sorry about the strange lighting, I had to use flash otherwise the colours would have looked completely different!) </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">- <b>MAC Viva Glam Gaga: </b>When I first got this lipstick it was a bit of spur of the moment buy and I was unsure of how much use I would get out of it. But I can honestly say that this is probably my most worn lipstick when I go on a night out! I love that it's a bit bright but nothing too OTT as I have a bit of a phobia of wearing bright coloured makeup.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">- <b>GOSH Darling</b>: This is my most worn lipstick of all time. OF. ALL. TIME. No doubt about it! I have genuinely gone through about 8 or 9 tubes of it. I wear it pretty much everyday and I really do think its the perfect pinky/peachy nude. I do also love MAC's creme d'nude and myth but in my opinion the GOSH alternative has a much more pleasant formula.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">- <b>NARS heat wave</b>: So as I previously mentioned, I do have a bit of a phobia of wearing bright makeup especially lipsticks as my lips are quite thin and I think they emphasise this. However every girl has to own a red lipstick right? And I really do love this one and find it's bet worn with a simple black cat winged eyeliner look.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">- <b>Barry M #147</b>: This is my summer lipstick and has that kind of coral-ish tone that has been so popular this summer in terms of makeup (& fashion!). I think it's really nice and wearable and goes with pretty much any eye makeup look. Lovely! :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for reading and I hope you're all enjoying this warm-ish weather we're having! :)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">x</div>IVORYFAITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05354669919117761712noreply@blogger.com2
